Even the previously sent emails are now reporting correctly. I have disabled all plugins, cleared my cache and cookies, but that did not help. I can see the UI, but I can't click anything. It was the Google docs timezone settings (no timezone selected, but CST is -6 from GMT so makes sense). I have not had this issue before with Gmail, but discovered it this morning when emails sent back and forth yesterday led to a communication breakdown based on who sent what when. I, too, was getting really frustrated with this. Scroll down to Google Account settings section and you will see the link for Google account settings. If you ever need to get to your Google account settings from Gmail, click on the Settings link (upper right of screen), then select the Account tab. It's probably needs to be change to the correct timezone setting that you want.

If the time is still wrong, check the timezone setting of your your PC clock. The time stamps on your messages should now be correct. To go back to your Gmail mailbox, click on the Gmail link on the right. You should now see the correct timezone displayed on the Personal information screen. Once you make the change, click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen, followed by clicking on the Back link in the yellow confirmation notice.Then in the account information screen, choose your timezone by clicking on the check box next to Display all timezones followed by change the timezone (using the pull down arrow). To change it, click on the Edit link next to Personal information.Here, you will see your Google account Personal information with the current time zone setting.To do this, visit (log on to your Google account if needed).Instead, since the timezone information is a global setting, you need to change it at your Google account settings. You would think that the timezone setting can be changed in the Settings options of your Gmail account, but you can't. I tried some of the other function in the Gmail drop down menu and those worked. I ran a restore on my computer and that didn't help. NOTE: to see the time stamp, open a message, then click on the show details link next to the date on the message. Printing was working fine when I left work for the weekend, and when I arrive this morning I had the same problem while using Firefox (Mozilla) on my PC. I usually don't pay much attention to my account settings on the Internet (forums, online email accounts, etcвЂ¦) but when I checked my Gmail messages, I also notice the same resultsвЂ¦the time stamp is wrong on my email messages. Next time you get an email with video attachment of the same type, click the Download button to have it download and open automatically in your preferred desktop video player.Д¬learВ the option Open certain file types automatically after downloadingвЂ‹ДЇirefox users can do the workaround too by changing what Firefox does when you click on or download a file.

Enable 'Always Open Files Of This Type'.

Click down arrow menu next to the downloaded file.

Do this once (for each file type) after clicking Download.

Personally, I think this bug is worth putting up with for all the other conveniences, integration with Docs and security the interface provides. This is the best workaround while still using to reduces the number of clicks to play a video attachment.

I've replicated the issue in Chrome, Safari and Firefox. I would want a single click to view the video.ДЄffected: Gmail on Computers. But I can imagine it would be annoying if I regularly received videos via email attachment. I've had five customers report this issue where they can't play video attachments in gmail.В I rarely receive emails with video attachments, normally they're Google Photos or YouTube links. After clicking on the video attachment in a gmail message, expecting it to play, instead this error appears, 'Whoops! There was a problem while playing this video'.
